n8n is an open-source workflow automation tool that connects any app to any other. Here is how I use it to save businesses dozens of hours per week.

n8n (pronounced "n-eight-n") is a self-hostable, open-source workflow automation platform. Think of it as a more powerful, developer-friendly alternative to Zapier or Make — one you can run on your own infrastructure, extend with custom code, and integrate with virtually any API.
After working with multiple automation tools, n8n stands out for several reasons: it is open-source and self-hostable (no vendor lock-in), it supports complex branching logic and loops, it has excellent support for custom JavaScript/Python code nodes, and it integrates natively with AI models and vector databases.
Over the past two years I built and deployed n8n workflows for several companies:
One of the most powerful patterns I use is connecting n8n workflows with LangChain agents. The workflow handles external triggers and data movement, while the agent handles reasoning and decision-making. This hybrid approach is fast to build and easy to maintain.
I teach a complete n8n course on 7learn.com covering everything from basic workflows to advanced AI-powered automations. Check out the n8n Expert course. If you want a custom workflow built for your business, reach out directly.
